Grandpa

It's being Father's Day my grandparents (and Aunt) came over for tea. (Scones and cake made by my Mum -how refined!)
We got talking about my Grandparents engagement, 64 years ago tomorrow. Straight after Grandpa had to go off to Germany for a year working as a translator and they didn't get married until 3 years later. It's funny to think of them then, not much older than I am now and to think how much they've seen and done in their long lives...
Granny was funny today, looking at some photos from Kenya and telling me Nick looked like 'a rather dishy young man' (which apparently means very all-round nice) and asking my brother if he has 'a roving eye' (looking for the girls)!
All in all it's been another relaxing sunny Sunday, just what I needed.
