Small Skipper

If you're not familiar with skippers, this little fellow is about the size of a man's thumbnail. This is the first one I have seen this year so hopefully there are lots more on the horizon. There's such a small window in the UK for photographing butterflies ... if the weather is sunny and calm tomorrow, I think I'll go back to the wildflower field of yesterday's blip to see what's flying.
