Airsoft Taiwan
I was pretty excited about today so I didn't get much sleep last night. Volk and I headed over to Taipei county this morning to meet up with a few other members of his team. Despite being no more than 15 minutes away from the city, Taipei county is distinctly different. Primarily, the residents are of a lower socio-economic status but the vibe of the area seems to reflect more than just that. It reminded me somewhat of China and Volk jokingly said he felt like we were in Vietnam. I find it interesting how such a nearby town seems like another country.
About airsoft: a recreational activity where replica firearms shooting plastic rounds are used gaming (similar to Paintball).
Thank you Wikipedia.
I promptly had my ass handed to me in the few three rounds. It was a little frustrating getting shot in the face/head and not even knowing where the enemy was but seeing as it was my first time it didn't really bother me. I knew I could improve, and improve I did! In the following round I managed to rack up several kills whilst dodging enemy fire. The searing heat and humidity with mosquitos buzzing around really made it feel like you were fighting in the jungle. It was really thrilling, too bad it's illegal in Australia.
