Favorite Things

Early in our marriage, our finances were a bit...challenged. So we budgeted and did not splurge on non-essentials. As the years went by and the finances became...less challenged, we were able to spend on a few, more frivolous things. I don't remember the day, but I do remember the conversation.

"Those shoes are SO cute!"
"Didn't you just buy shoes?"
"Um...dude...a girl can never have too many shoes. Or purses, for that matter."

And over the years there have been times I've found uber-cute shoes (or a purse) and said no to them. To which hubby has kindly reminded me of my own mantra and said, "But a girl can never have too many shoes. Or purses."

And even though these - my favorite heels - which I've owned nearly 2 years, I have worn twice outside the house (I got them on sale for like 50% off!). He still reminds me of my mantra.

Because he's sweet like that.
