A Berry Good Weekend

Today was another wonderful weekend day...we started the day off with more of the fresh strawberries we purchased yesterday and added to A's birthday cheesecake (see yesterday's blip). We like to mash them on toast and sprinkle with white sugar for a "fresh jam" breakfast...quite yummy! My husband also made us this wonderful fresh fruit salad for lunch today...strawberries, bananas, apricots and chopped almonds! After dinner tonight he and I enjoyed more fresh strawberries...straight! We've managed to plow through almost a full flat of them...which is wonderful as they really don't keep very well...so you might as well endulge when you purchase them!

My husband also surprised me by asking if I wanted to go for a ride this afternoon and we ended up going to a local theater and watching Toy Story 3 in 3D! Excellent and a very touching film...definitely one to see!

Relaxing evening at home...dinner and vegging out in the front of the TV!
