Kootenai Swing Bridge

Well I finally made my 200th blip. It has taken me awhile since I haven't done it every day. On my 100th blip (03-02-10) I did the Kootenai Falls and so I thought it would be appropriate for my 200 blip to do the Kootenai Swing Bridge.

During the Depression, CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) crews did a lot of work in the area constructing roads and bridges, including the first swinging bridge across the Kootenai River.

If you want to see more of the Kootenai River, rent the movie "River Wild" with Meryl Streep.
