A visit to the docs. first thing resulted in a host of new potions - inhaler, eye drops and tablets - which I am hoping will be much more effective in reducing my hay fever symptoms. He didn't believe me when I told him I had never suffered from asthma as my chest is so tight and wheezy. Every year it's the same and as suddenly as it comes, the grass pollen goes and I am back to normal.

Went for my mammogram too. The girls (particularly Rowan) were incredulous that I would let someone squash my boobs. I really don't mind - far better to have a few moments of discomfort than contemplate going through everything my sister has gone through over the last three years. Tomorrow I walk the Moonwalk, so it was good timing in reminding me why I am doing it and to let my sister know just how proud I am of her. This is her first year cancer free so the walk will be a celebration too.

As for the England game, the less said the better... I didn't even have the heart to play my kazoo.
