Mysterious calculations

This seemed like a stereotype of a lab blackboard with equations (like something out of a cartoon) for me uninformed about such things. I'm sure some of you would recognize immediately what this is about. I liked the colors in the room (the chalk, the chairs) against the black and white of the board and table.
