Market Day

If it's Friday, it must be the market! I love the way anybody can set up a stall and sell anything! This lady is a regular and always wears a rather smart straw hat. I liked the way they were both deep in conversation, surrounded by an interesting array of knick knacks.
I haven't got the hang of taking portraits of people I don't know and don't know whether it's better to be obvious or subtle! Is there any etiquette about this? Should you ask permission? Am I likely to get thumped?!
