The weekly trip to Shitty Stars, The Worst Super Mall In The Developing World©, was unavoidable today due to the cinema there being the only place to see Toy Story 3. It was really very good indeed and we laughed much of the way through. The animation was perfect though I did think the 3D aspect was a bit superfluous. It's worth noting that the 3D effect in the trailer for Step Up 3D looked pretty incredible. (I must admit, I am a rather guilty Step Up fan, but don't tell anyone.)

As per usual with any sustained period outside the flat, we ended up in slightly tetchy moods. Serves us right for taking it for granted that you can do simple things like go for lunch on your day off and not have to deal with utter fuds the entire time. I really should remember a very insightful sentence I wrote last October: "Expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised if something reasonably unshit happens, but not at all surprised when in fact the worst is what's delivered hour after pitiful hour."

So true.

Anway, the moods are starting to lift with the prospect of a night of imported beer drinking at the British Embassy where we'll be watching the England vs Algeria match. Due to the violence and killings after the Egypt vs Algeria qualifying matches, the Egyptians don't take kindly to the Algerians, which makes for an awkward supporting stance. Should I support England along with the rest of my fellow English and Egyptian friends? Or, should I support Algeria and face the angry wrath of both?
