Disaster in Bumble Bee World!

Found a bumble nest had been dug out of a bank on our lane by badgers during the night but some had obviously survived.They were busy trying to re-build their nest ......on the lane.Without human help they were doomed when the next vehicle passed so used a spade to scoop the whole thing up and poke them back into the bank.They were pretty annoyed at the time but am happy to report all is well now,as long as the badger does not return for seconds!Never knew until we saw this that they made nests similar to small birds.Clever eh?!
