Kittiwakes.

Kittiwakes used to nest on the Baltic Flour Mill. When it was no longer in use, it was changed into an Art Gallery, and the birds were no longer allowed to use it . A special nesting site was built for them a little distance away, but they shunned this in favour of the Tyne Bridge and the near by Guild Hall. There are so many nesting on every available ledge, and there is tremendous noise and mess from them. I risked getting messed on to take this shot, but was OK.
