Reflections

This wee burn runs under the cycle path we walk along on the way home from school.

I used to walk the same cycle path home from the same school.

When I walked along here you could get down to the side of the burn, and we would. We would throw stones and sticks, and in the good weather take off our shoes and socks and dip our toes in the water. The water is very very shallow, no more than a few inches deep at the deepest.

Now there is a LARGE fence cordoning off the burn. I find it a wee bit sad that you can't get down there any more. It was one of our favourite things to do on the walk home. I do wonder why they felt the need to cordon it off.
