Northern Exposure

Humidity

Copinsay was wreathed in haar this morning. I spotted it on the way back from dropping Campbell at school this morning at that point the sun was glinting off the lighthouse and making the haar look like silver cobwebs.

By the time I'd got back, grabbed the camera and wandered far enough down the road to get a decent view of the islands the sun had moved on and the mists were thickening. So I'm afraid I missed the real breathtaking image.

Had to make a emergency(ish) dash to the doctors after school. After PE Campbell had suddenly developed a very worrying wheeze and was having difficulty breathing. He's not had any asthmatic symptoms before but it looks like his gene pool might be kicking in. He's fine now. A wee shot of a nebuliser and he's dancing about.

The doc said it might just be a one off, caused by an unlucky combination of heavy pollen and high humidity levels coupled with a very energetic game of rounders but there was a definite 'Who are we kidding' shrug that didn't hold out much hope that he wasn't on the asthmatic track. Fingers crossed.
