Aida, Lorna and Fe
I ventured into our "wet" market early this morning and I was surprised at how everything was so alive at 5:30. There was spontaneous action and reaction from each person who was part of the scene. Further down a small alley were these three lovely ladies sitting on their low wooden stools busy choosing and tying their flowers into neat little bundles. As I walk towards them to take pictures, they look up at me and readily give me shy smiles at first. I struck a conversation with them and they tell me that their flowers come from a little town about an hour away and that this time the blossoms were much smaller due to the lack of rain. I asked them who buys them and they say that most are bought to bring as offerings to the church and for funerals. The more I chatted with them, the bigger their smiles got. This is the final photo that I took and as I asked them what their names were, they all answer in chorus, "Aida, Lorna and Fe".
