After a day's royal treatment, we got ready to leave my in-laws' place. A few days ago, when Mrs Adda was leaving home, I saw that her footprint was taken on the wall. I've seen similar thing done with my grandfather when he died but I was too young to understand the significance. In olden days, where there was no camera or it was limited to the luxury of the rich, this is how memories of the person leaving was preserved. In today's world, these little things can easily lose their identity if one has to follow ?logic?. But glad to see that reasoning has not got into the way of the beauty of tradition.
