On Location
We are on Location. We're headed for a conference -- tomorrow at San Diego City College. So we left home this morning and stopped for a late breakfast in San Clemente (the top two photos). Then we headed back to the freeway and south toward San Diego. We arrived here early afternoon and drove immediately to the campus to acquaint ourselves with the campus layout and where I need to be early tomorrow morning.
After acquainting ourselves with the campus, we located our motel, checked in, and then headed back to the car to take a ride along Harbor Drive; it looked as though a Hollywood crew is filming right out in front of the fancy Hyatt Hotel. How exciting! The place is surrounded and secured by police. So we then drove into the Gaslamp District; then on to a section of the city called "Little Italy" where we had a delicious pasta dinner at Mona Lisa's. I have no doubt that we have completely blown Mr. Fun's diet, but how often does a couple get to "Little Italy"? Not often! So we enjoyed ourselves and we'll deal with the calories later.
San Diego's airport is situated in such a way that the airplanes appear to come right between the buildings to get to the runway. It's a little overwhelming and quite spectacular. We're both rather taken by watching it. I guess we are easily entertained.
Hope your week is going well. Till tomorrow -- we'll carry on!
Good night from San Diego, a lovely location.

P.S. The Internet connect here at the motel is less than adequate, so I won't be commenting much (and honest, I have been tying to get back into commenting).
