One for...
When encountering a lone magpie...
- think "One for sorrow"
- salute when in Scotland and Ireland, unless its near a window in Scotland, then a death is on its way
- wave or doff your hat when in some parts of England, and perhaps say "Good morning Mr Magpie. How is your lady wife today?"
- make the sign of the cross or take off your hat when in Yorkshire
- spit three times when in Devon
- prepare for visitors or house guests when in Korea
- look our for good luck when in China
I'm sure there are many, many more. What do you do? I took a photo!
The plasterer has completed the bedroom ceiling and thinks he may even be finished this week. Big Yay! I'm back in the kitchen office where it's much lighter and it means I have full kettle rights, although the plasterer cannot keep up with my tea intake.
I went for a glorious evening walk with Fred through the woods near Crystal Palace. The sunset turned spots of trees into gold. It was magical. We discovered old railway arches and a tunnel, saw several foxes, one B.T. and a lovely old Bushcat that was a smaller version of the Bushcat down the road from us. Perhaps they are related?
