Motorcycles are actually banned in China; you require a special permit to have one. I think this particular one is used to transport goods though the owner was using the mirror to have a shave - a legitimate reason for ownership perhaps?

In their place, thousands of electric scooters have flooded the city streets. I took a ride on the back of one and it was a hair raising experience indeed! Driving is completely mental in China but I must say I've caught the electric bike bug. Hopefully they'll gain more use in the West before too long.
