This is or was the potato crop on the adjacent allotment to mine.
Many of the allotments have hideously deformed or completely dead crops of potatoes, beans and other vegetables. All from unwittingly using stable manure that turned out to contain aminopyralid, a nasty Dow Chemicals herbicide that passes through grazing animals into their manure and remains active for a long time (Google it. Not nice).

It was banned a couple of years ago but has inexplicably been relicensed by the UK government. Peoples vegetables have been affected all across the UK and the US I have discovered.

So much for trying to grow organic produce.
