Snape Maltings

A collection of residential homes, gift shops, pubs, tea rooms and galleries can be found at the maltings. I particularly liked this Thames barge and did my best to keep us away from the multitude of retail opportunities - well apart from the pub lunch.

The preceding night was a difficult one. Generally, children and adults were up too late at the camp site, making noise into the early hours (the adults at least). A nightingale lived fully up to its name too, singing heartily right through the night. The following morning started for our daughters at 6:30.

We ventured here after tackling a walk and assault course in Rendlesham forest, tired and fractious, apart from our younger daughter who had fallen asleep in the back of the car.
