Edgware Road

Drove to London today to see an old friend, who is celebrating surviving breast cancer one year after her surgery, and also her 50th birthday. We had lunch with her at her party in the Royal College of Pathologists (she's a Professor of Histopathology), a place mere mortals don't really get to go into. Lunch with pathologists does make you wonder whether it might be a good idea to take the vegetarian option though .... (in fact, one of my most memorable lunches was with all the histopathologists from Barts, at this restaurant, where offal is a specialty .Yes, it was surreal). The College is in the beautiful environs of The Mall, so queenie is just round the corner. London was hideous to drive in though - seriously, we spent more time on Edgware Road than on the M1 getting home.

I feel like it may be a 9pm bedtime tonight mmmmm beddddd.
