Building in the clouds

A beautiful day in London, perfect for exploring Open Houses. This Open House wasn't open unless you'd managed to book a ticket months in advance. But we ate cake and drank tea on a table outside its base, and looked up at the clouds reflected in its gherkin shape. The building itself is mirrored on all the buildings around it so you feel like you're in some magic mirror show. It is, of course, 30 St Mary Axe, otherwise known as 'The Gherkin'. We bought cookies in the shape of the building from the cafe - great fun!

We walked miles and managed to see some Open Houses - I love Open House weekend!
