Caught by the menfolk yesterday. The boy is very proud that he beat his father and caught the first one

Scomber scombrus - A streamlined fish, the mackerel is designed for fast swimming in large shoals. The fins are short and tend to be positioned well back on the body giving the fish greater straight line speed. The tail is deeply forked, again giving good acceleration and manoeuvrability.

Completely ignored the green theme for today, but when you look at the colour of them, I might just have got away with it
