Victorian Mansions

Blipped this on my daily jog this morning. This part of Oxton was where the Liverpool ship owners and other rich merchants built their houses in the 19th century- away from the dirt and smog of Liverpool only 6 miles away.
I love this area and often imagine what it must have been like to live in one of these lovely houses- some of them have now been made into flats. I will add some more pictures of them over the coming weeks
