Date night!!

Kaz called me this afternoon to see if I wanted to go over to Michelle's house (her friend who's house she is staying at while she sails in a women's regatta this weekend!) and meet her and go out for dinner together - like a date!! We had to check with Cheryl first to make sure she didn't have anything organised for me for dinner already! We got the all clear so we were both really excited!!

I finished work (no calls again today!) then drove over to North Fitzroy to meet Kaz. We chatted to Michelle for a bit (I showed her blipfoto which she seemed interested in!!) then Michelle went out and we went to the Thai restaurant nearby.

It was really nice to be able to sit down together with no other distractions (Spence, iPhones, laptops, Tv etc!) and just talk! I haven't seen Kaz since Thursday morning and won't see her again until Tuesday morning so it was nice to be able to catch up on things that have been happening and how we are both going in general!

We are so lucky to have great family and friends that are lovely to us and allow us to spend time together. I think it is really important for us to make time just for the two of us. Our lives can be very busy so it's nice to just slow down for a couple of hours and enjoy each other! Spence isn't clingy at all and loves being with Nana or Nik or Grandma and Grandpa. He doesn't seem to miss us at all which is great!

Today's blip is taken in Michelle's house of a disco ball she has hanging in the lounge room! I'm wondering if I can call it a self portrait??? Probably not, you can only see some hair, an eye and some fingers!!

Off to bed now, I am very tired!! Cheryl, Spence and I are off to Robyn's house again tomorrow to play with Jesse, Kurt and the puppies! Can't wait!
