Special Shoes

We have had our new car, which was bought on the proviso that "I (Dr Dad) will cycle to work because it is healthy and cheap" for a whole week now, and I have driven him to work, I'd say, 5 times.
Now his declaration that he will walk to work has led us to this shoe shop that specialises in personally tailored insoles, to buy walking shoes to protect his tootsies while he walks the 5km to work.
I don't want to be cynical, but the rainy season is practically upon us, so just in case my daily planning will probably include the time taken to swing by his work every morning this week too, just in case.
Although they are goretex, so he should be fine even if it rains, eh?
