Monkey Flower

These flowers were introduced into Britain in 1822 from Alaska. Three years ago we dug a newt pond in the garden and I spread the dug out soil round the garden and these and a surprise one (which I'll put on when it flowers) sprang up. The seeds of these flowers must have been relic seeds and were 'waiting' for an opportunity to grow - I gave them it!
