Plan B: Ben Wyvis
Awoke this morning to very low cloud and mist, and light rain. Plan A had been to cycle into Bendronaig Lodge from Attadale and do the 2 Munros in there but the weather was less than inviting, so Plan B was put into effect.
It was just a short drive along the road to Ben Wyvis, which is a relatively easy hill but despite it being summer and close to the longest day, the conditions on the tops were extremely unpleasant: strong northerly (i.e. very cold) wind and occasional rain and sleet. I ended up wearing everything I had with me until we'd dropped back down where it was a bit warmer.
On the descent we passed loads of people on their way up, including the usual numpties wearing shorts trying to pretend it's really summer time. Definitely not weather for shorts but it was good to get a bit of exercise anyway before heading home.
Backblipped Friday night's accommodation.
