A flooer

I know. A flower. A rose. Not even an ironic weed although actually this thing is a weed that I regularly cut down having done my best to dig out its roots as well. It's just in the wrong place and left to its own devices will climb all over anything.

Anyhow, I had a couple of other things - a sweetcorn plant and the seed head of a leek that's been in the ground too long but this is just at that perfect stage where its colours can be seen but its still wrapped up tight waiting to explode. And the colours are great - the transition from the pale pink in the middle to the darker, almost red on the outside. Plus, it really shows off the Canon macro lens. The flower itself is only about the size of a 1p.

It's got white fly if that's any consolation.
