in a new light

Today, I walked down the street to buy bread from a traditional bakery or forn. Normally, I would walk fast, make eye contact with no one, and rush back to the quiet, coolness of my apartment. Today, inspired by Scorpionkiss I did things differently. I walked slowly, I looked around, and I saw parts of this city, of a side street two minutes from where I've lived for over 10 years, in a way that I've never seen them before. And I love it.
