Friday Night at The Market

We always go here. From the decor you can tell World Cup Fever has hit Willington. Personally I am suporting France in protest at them not takin Darren Bent. That and the fact that the Manager of England isn't English. The players have to be so the Manger should have to be too.

So anyway, this pic shows my friend Audrey dancing in the Market with Irish John. It's not a regular occurence that Aud dances, and I was lucky enough to catch her on camera.

The Market is very entertaining, but not necessarily the way it's meant to be. Sometimes its like a trip to Ripleys Believe It or Not. All human life is here. And some other things I am not entirely sure about.

There's always a turn on a Friday night (a singer to those non-Durham people), and theres always someone/something dancing. Then there's the ones who can't walk when they go to claim their disability benefit, yet miraculously stride around the place unencumbered by their stick, which is chucked somewhere in a corner, plus various alcoholics, trainee alcoholics and general oddballs.

Then there's us 4 who just stare on wonderment at it all. Thank goodness for alcohol.
