Flowers for Bev

This morning Spence and I went out into the garden to pick some flowers for Bev. We found a few left on the rose bushes and put them in an elastic band and into a plastic cup with some water. We also made a card for her.

Bev's daughter Robyn (who has two kids Jessie and Kurt, who Spence absolutely loves!) called this morning and invited us around for the morning. They have just got two new puppies (Labrador/border collie) and are dog sitting three others for the weekend. They also have kittens and horses. Spence was so excited! We took the chocolate I made yesterday to their house and it was a big hit!!

We spent a couple of hours there, playing with the puppies and the kids! Spence had a ball! I unfortunately forgot to take my camera! It rained today so we didn't get to go outside to pat the horses. Next time! Robyn invited us again on Monday (it's the Queen's Birthday long weekend here and the schools also had a student free day today for an extra long weekend!). We are hoping for better weather!

We came home and had lunch and Spence went for his sleep. Cheryl (Nana) arrived just as Spence fell asleep. He only slept for an hour which is unusual and was excited when Nana went in to get him up! Cheryl and Spence then finished Bev's card and we waited for Bev to get home from the doctor's so we could take them over.

We took over the card and flowers to Bev and a piece of chocolate cake for Joe! They loved them! Spence had a big play with Joe while Cheryl and I talked to Bev. She is feeling a bit better today, the fluid tablets seem to be working but she has to see her heart specialist.
