Elephant 179 - 21st century Ganesh

I went on an elephant hunt at lunchtime and although I couldn't find the one at Somerset House, I did track down the two elephants at India Place outside the Indian Embassy. They must be colourful distractions for the people waiting in the long queue for visas.

After work, I headed up to The Conquering Hero pub to meet Simon. Together we met the challenge of the pub quiz head on and didn't do that badly. Well, we weren't last. I hadn't been to the pub before and we were obviously the new team, but the other teams were smiley and supportive. Simon and I were astounded by the arrival of free sandwiches and a bowl of pickled onions at half-time. Superb! We'll definitely come to this pub quiz again.
