Ready Set Go

When 350 children come blasting out of the starting gate, you only stand your ground long enough to get a few shots. This race is always challenging to photograph since the kids tend to run in large bunches. And they don't always see the photographer -- they're out to win and heaven help whoever is in their way. :)

Today was the Kids' Marathon. The children have, over the past month or so, run, walked, etc. for 25 miles. Today they ran the final 1.2 miles and so have now run a maration. Tomorrow the adults get their turn in the North Olympic Discovery Marathon.
