Santiago Calatrava at Liège-Guillemins
Almost midnight, almost home.
After a long day of frustrating delays and missed connections on the usually efficient Deutsche Bahn, I arrived in Liege where T met me for the last leg home.
I was tired, but not too tired to marvel at the splendid new Liège-Guillemins train station by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. This was taken from the parking deck one level above the train platforms.
I was delighted to have a chance to experiment with photographing a very large space in low light without flash. The pancake lens really rocks. It's quite stunning viewed large.
