In Brief, for once...

Amazing Recycling!

I found these little guys on the desk when I went into my first class this morning.

One of my gerls (read with Miss Jean Brodie voice) made them - not during my class I might add!

19 years in Japan have brought me to the point where I can just about fashion oone of these origami Cranes, which are a ubiquitous symbol of peace here in Hiroshima and Japan, if I have about half an hour, a set of instructions, and a square of paper the size of a napkin in front of me.
I have included the 5p coin to give you an idea of just how small the tiniest one is.

This young lady may never be an interpreter, judging by her performance in English class, but she is certainly good with her hands!

For those of you who'd like to try for yourselves: how to make a paper crane
