Touching

This bronze replica of York Minster (in the foreground) is situated at its West end for those without sight to feel and explore.

While I was looking at it someone came up who was blind and felt around the Minster and its environs with a companion explaining the various features. It was moving to see this.

Some of the replica has a green patina. Other parts are shiny and smooth where they have been touched.

Not everything we see can be touched!
