One of those days today, didn't really feel like having my face on here so you get another random body part. Briefly considered taking a non-self-portrait shot but it was such a miserable, wet and rainy day I wasn't overly enthusiastic about going outside...

Feeling utterly exhausted at work at the minute, so my boyfriend and I have decided to take a holiday next month. We're planning to drive through France, then North Italy, maybe some of Croatia/Slovenia and back via Southern Germany. We like to pack a lot in to our trips!

I probably don't have the time (with a thesis to write), or the money (with impending unemployment) but I think we both need a break. I haven't taken a proper holiday since I started this PhD almost 3 years ago, so my top tip to new postgrads is: take your holiday allowance! You'll miss it when it's gone :)
