A bit of history...

The north east has loads of history to offer - some well known, and some not so well known. I passed this bowling green today, which is just outside Gateshead town centre, as did hundreds (if not thousands) of others. I just think it slightly sad that not many people would have noticed this when surrounded by all the 'modern' (sadly mainly 1960s) architecture.

History is important, as not only does it give us heritage, it has shaped the world in which we live. I do not suspect for one moment that this bowling green has had a major impact on our lives today - but it may have had a major impact on a family. And let us not forget that all our actions - past, present and future - are already known by God, and that He can and will use them to bring us the best possible life - that will impact us as well as others - if only we would let Him.
