Saturated
Not a nice day to be outside, let alone having to play a league match this evening. If there wasn't a penetrating smirr there was a heavier haar and it didn't let up all evening.
This is the only picture I took today, and it was a hurried, 'Oh, that looks nice, let-me-rather-strangely-take-a-photo of it' at the posh tennis tea where china plates were in abundance.
So, I was saturated not just by the wetness of the rain, but by the amount of saturated fat in the cakes I felt I needed as compensation for having to trudge about in mingin' weather for three hours.
Top cake tonight: The above lemon sponge has to be my favourite of recent weeks. I know my Top Cake diehard followers have expressed disinterest in Victoria sponges, but this one really takes the biscuit, as it were.
