Lilleshall Abbey

Had a lovely day of no work today so was able to get in a couple of hours of "me" time this afternoon.

I took a ride out to another local ruined Abbey I had seen signposted but had never found either the time or the right weather for when I did have the time.

Today was the day, blue sky, white cloud, perfect.

It was so tranquil and spiritually uplifting to walk amongst the ruins which are remarkably preserved since its been here since the 12th century. The arches have wonderful ornate carvings in the stonework which I took plenty of to see what they look like converted to b&w.

I could just do with a bit of tuition in photoshop to sort out my converging verticles. I'll have to book more time off work to master that technique.
