Scotch Mist

Rather dreich day, so Edinburgh Castle is hidden behind a thick Scotch mist.

According to the Scots dictionary all the following words can be used to describe a light drizzly rain or mist: smirr, dauch, dreezle, ure, drowe, huller, rime, rouk. Like Eskimo words for snow, it is probably not that surprising that there are so many.

Wasnae tae drookit, a haed ma cagoule.
