Fretting about Tension...

Did you know that the strings exert around 160 pounds of tension on the neck and body of a guitar? The strings on a 12 string guitar exert around 260 pounds of tension on the structure of the guitar. When you tune it, you should tune all the strings a whole step lower than a normal guitar tuning.

Did you also know it takes frikkin' ages to replace and tune 12 strings?

And lastly, did you know that when I fret a 5th chord, I occassionally accidentally flick the bird at the audience. We used to play a lot of Nirvana songs so this happened on a fair number of occasions.
