Turned on my point and shoot and thought I'd play around with it. As I snapped the first shot of the ceiling fan to check what settings I'd last left it on, the battery ran out.

"Well shoot," I said (although perhaps not in those exact child-friendly words), as I removed the battery to recharge it. I picked up my DSLR, and as I felt for the power switch, I noticed it was in the ON position. I flicked it off, then back on. No power.

"Well shoot again!"
