Shreddies

This is a concrete shredder - ever seen one? No, me neither. At the University where I work, we are constructing a major new music building (very exciting) which I'm documenting weekly in photos as it's truly historic for the university, completing Joseph Chamberlain's vision in the early 1900s for the institution.

Today the foundations of on old (now removed) building are being taken up and prepared for recycling, as hardcore under roads, by this massive shredder. It's fascinating - well, if you're like me and find machinery interesting!
