Roses
This is an out of season image for me. I usually have flowers under this lamp in the darker months. But last night I thought to rescue the first of this season's blooms from the downpour. So the house is full of the scent of roses, summer stocks and sweet rocket (hesperis matronalis - my all-time favourite flower)). All thanks to the thunderstorm! And I took this blip at 2.00am when I was still pootling about listening to the World Service. Strangely, half the roses had jumped out of the bowl this morning - maybe they would rather have been left to their fate?
Very odd to waken with your blip in the bag. A different kind of day. And the prospect of a fine day tomorrow - rain is forecast, I have no clients or deadlines so can catch up on all the commenting I've missed lately.
And I'll be canvassing shamelessly for support for this good cause. Anyone dropping by - please consider casting your vote against the demolition of this beautiful, historic pier ----- here. Thanks, every vote counts.
