I had a photo shoot with my cousin today. The idea was to practice off-camera flash with my Speedlite, but the camera store didn't have the cord I needed, so on the camera it stayed.

I've spent hours and hours reading about exposure and flash, but when I'm out in the field I freeze up and take the same old pictures framed the same old way. And with my always-brooding cousin as my subject I feel like a chef with a well-stocked kitchen but no idea what to make.
