oh there's the flood

for some reason boston always has really dramatic and terrifying weather...

...for about 35 minutes.

and then it's over.

it is so strange.

today the sky looked foreboding for 20 minutes and then suddenly, almost unexpectedly, the city was drowning. in a matter of seconds it went from no water, to water, water, water...falling, falling, falling.

i had just barely made it on the T. we had to stop several times because there was too much water. the conductor was phenomenally good-natured about it. in this photo she is scoping out the scene. the streets were all water. after 10 minutes of rain.

by the time i made it to my destination the rain had ceased.
