I enjoy sharpening pencils, maybe it's the excitement of knowing you'll end up with a pointing scribbling tool at the end of the process. Often I use a knife to sharpen my pencils, but every now and then I'll pick up a pencil sharpener and make every pencil in my collection nice and pointy - obsessive behaviour, never.
